Back from the golf course

The entrance of my Art Nouveau dollhouse lacked a little bit of life. Only marble and a small plant on the bamboo table. The entrance is tiny, no place to add a chair or a hallstand.
Back from the golf course, I just left my golf set at the bottom of the stairs.... I hope that they had this kind of golf bag and sticks in the 1920th !

Shoes and bag are made of leather and canvas. For the sticks, I customised a white metal set from Phoenix Models.

  2. Hi Dominique! You have made a wonderful golf bag that is so appropriate for the time period and really adds that "extra bit of life", to this beautiful miniature home of yours. One doesn't often see golf bags in a feminine house interior and so this also makes the addition special and unique. Your customization of the golf clubs looks absolutely right in color and style and the golf shoes tie it all together. All in all, this does give "movement and activity" to the entrance hall and you have made a great choice in the construction and the placement of it! Superb!:D

    1. Hi Again Dominique! I would love to see more about the making of this extrodinary doll's house but can't seem to find the kitchen, bath, bedroom or entry blogs under the Art Nouveau doll house category in your search engine. Where should I be looking so that I can see More!? This house has me fascinated! :D

    2. Hello there,
You're right, I just checked and I couldn't find any picture of the kitchen or the bathroom. Well, they are not finished yet, but I should really consider making a new post about them. There are pictures in an older blog in French www.humptydumptyhouse.fr under "The Willowcrest", that was the model of the kit.
Thank you for your kind appreciation of my house.

  3. Love the golf bag. I get a vision of a young woman, independent before her time. A rich heiress that would assist Hercule Poirot to solve a crime and who plays golf when she can. I love that you make such beautiful miniatures that make my imagination soar and create a whole scene in my mind's eye. That is talent!

  6. I agree with everyone else the golf bag is wonderful also there were well known women golfers back in the 1920's like Edith Cummings and before her there was Lady Margaret Scott so lady golfers would be right at home in your beautiful house
