Boots and shoes

Lately I have been working on my shoe store. I bought a lot of colourful silk brocade at the last KDF.

The result is a bunch of shoes, glittery as Christmas decorations.

I also worked on a new collection of leather riding boots. I'm particularly happy with the rusty ones. I need to add some black boots to the collection.

Blackout

I worked on my dollhouse this week. The windows of the living room, on the ground floor, are ready.

I picked out a colour similar to the door, a kind of fake cherry wood. The design matches the first floor windows. The front of the house is squeaky clean.
I decided to finish the decoration of the living room by adding curtains to the windows of the dining room and an Art Nouveau divider between the two rooms.
Everything was ready to take pictures of my "great work"...and Aaaargh... the electricity in the dollhouse isn't working anymore. The living room is in the dark. I didn't check after the moving if the circuit was all right. I think it's the fuse and I don't have any left. I have to wait for a delivery...The poor lighting outside isn't helping, I will take pictures NEXT TIME !

Meanwhile I have made some new shoes. Fake snake [chicken legs] in a light blue grey for the bedroom.
I hope the light will come back soon, I want to show you the novelties of the curiosities cabinet !

Ice skates

Some time ago, a customer asked me for some vintage ice skates. I was really bothered not to be able to make good metal blades. I didn't have the tools and the technique to cast metal. Now I have found the perfect blades, coming from Warwick Miniatures. I just had to cut a part of the sole to adapt it to a pair of leather boots. I think these are quite good skates. I hope I will find some ice cube to try them.

Golf shoes

The last days I was working on a new range of shoes. Different colours of vintage Golf Shoes made of cloth and leather or faux leather.

I also made new matching boxes with a nice vintage lady.

Those shoes are not made for walking

I made tiny shoes for a friend. The big ones belong to Clara, her two years old daughter.

And, because I'm in the middle of a "shoe day," I also began a new range of silk shoes. The flowers are made of silk ribbon embroidery and the rest is made of silk thread embroidery. It's a different adornment, but it still fits the XVIII-XIXth century syle.

A bunch of shoes

New Versailles shoes

I was working on a new model of shoes. Silk shoes, only silk : body and heel, with leather sole. I will call them Versailles, they look like the Louis XIV's shoes in the paintings, except for the colour ! I guess they also fit Madame de Pompadour or Marie-Antoinette, any queen or king in the Palace and the courtiers as well....

After summer

After a busy summer in the 1/1 world and after one more moving, I'm back in the  miniature world. I will just tell it with some pictures.

I have made some painting and new upholstery for my chairs. We all need something to sit on after all this work. That's in the real world.

My magical shop, "Les dragons azimutés", was still packed. After two years, my dragons are back on the housefront and the pets from the magical world are taking some fresh air under the shopwindow.

Now, back in London in my new work place, I just finished a whole bunch of ballet shoes and I'm working on a new model of indian mocassins. That's the prototype.
